We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Mr. Joaquim Cañigueral (Cassà de la Selva, Girona, 1935), one of the founding partners of our group, Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods, who passed away on August 3, 2025.
Father of Xevi, Lluís, and Neus Cañigueral—part of the current ownership of the group—he was born into a humble family and co-founded the company that would later become the present-day group alongside his brothers Joan Cañigueral and Càndid Cañigueral.
Everyone at Costa Brava Mediterranean Foods deeply mourns his loss and will always hold him in the highest regard.
