As part of the Catalonia Food Science Tour, students on the “Meat and Food Science” programme at the University of Kansas (United States) have visited the Frigoríficos Costa Brava premises in Riudellots de la Selva. Frigoríficos Costa Brava showed the students their plant as well as one of the pig farms they work with. This initiative promoted by the university itself enables the American students to see first-hand how the Catalan meat industry operates.
Frigoríficos Costa Brava has established links with the United States since 2013 when it began exporting its products.
