Costa Brava has been a finalist for the 2012 PITA awards from the Government of Catalonia, in the category of Innovation Technology Food, thanks to the implementation of an automated process of washing, disinfecting, drying and supply boxes in the cutting room. This new hygienic control system incorporates artificial vision cameras that examine the boxes leave the car wash and the circuit automatically excludes those that do not meet the required quality and hygienic standards.
